Who specifically does this ministry reach?
Ushers are responsible to serve the Pastoral Staff, Harvest Members
and Visitors who attend Sunday morning services or other events
hosted by Harvest Assembly.
How does this ministry's activity fit with the Purpose of Harvest
Assembly?
Empowered by the Holy Spirit Harvest Assembly exist to make and
build disciples who impact their world thought the four principles
of the G12, Win, Consolidate, Disciple and Send. The Ushers are
dedicated servants who demonstrate their love for the body of Christ
through their service.
Who is involved in this ministry?
Anyone who believes in their heart God raised Christ from the dead
and confesses with their mouth Jesus is their Lord and has been
called to serve the body of Christ can serve as an usher.
What is required for involvement in this ministry?
Ushers are asked to serve at either the 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.
Sunday morning service for one month and then will be given off
a month before being scheduled again for Sunday mornings. If their
schedule allows Usher may also be asked to serve at an event hosted
by Harvest other than Sunday mornings. Usher's are expected to arrive
15 minutes before their scheduled times to insure they are in their
place before people start arriving for the service or event. Ushers
are reminded they are representing the Body of Christ and Harvest
to visitors and in some cases non-believers and so their speech,
behavior and dress should be appropriate for Sunday mornings. Training
is conducted once a year at the Usher's/Greeter's breakfast. However,
OJT is provided year round. |
