Vision/Purpose Statement
The Vision of Open Doors is to provide environments for those who
have been incarcerated to make positive choices that will
transform their lives, families, and community.

Who specifically does this ministry reach?
Men and Women who have been incarcerated and are currently due to
be released from prison.
How does this ministry's activity fit with the Purpose of Harvest
Assembly?
The four doors of Open Doors are:
1. Contact (Win): Make contact with individuals in prison
and develop relationships with them.
2. Transition (Consolidate): Provide temporary housing and
job placement as well as develop new positive relationships.
3. Mentoring (Disciple): Provide job and skill training,
education, life skill training and spiritual ministry.
4. New Beginnings (Send): Open opportunities for establishing
a new life through job placement and advancement, permanent housing,
and family healing and counseling.
Who is involved in this ministry?
Adult men and women who have a heart for personal ministry and mentoring.
What is required for involvement in this ministry?
Transition Housing Mentor: Person would live at the transition home
needed to oversee Open Doors residents during the evening hours.
Individual Mentor: Meet with Open Doors residents once per
week for mentoring and accountability.Individuals who participate
in Open Doors are expected to be a member of a cell and participate
in the vision of Harvest Assembly (Win, Consolidate, Disciple and
Send). |
