--The mission of this service:
To recognize the Church as a “Household of households.”
--Entire households in attendance in the same service.
--Households encouraged to be fully involved (i.e. Households serve as
ushers/greeters; All generations represented on the worship team;
Testimonies/prayer requests shared by all; Households come forward to give
their offering, etc.)
--Classic Praise and Worship, incorporating music that is noted for its theological
content and worship value.
--Public affirmation and blessing of key “milestones” in our children’s lives, including
dedication, water baptism, turning twelve, courtship and marriage.
--Expository/systematic teaching through specific passages of Scripture, with
emphasis placed on real-life application (follow-up questions provided for the
head of the household to use at home in household worship).
--Household Ministry following the sermon (encouraging the head of the household
to minister to each individual in the household—those “on their own” will be
drawn in to a household).
--Communion offered through each household (again encouraging the head of the
household to lead this ministry).
--Fellowship Meal shared together after the service on the first Sunday of the
month (bring a main dish/side dish—enough for your household, and a little
more to share!).
--Periodic equipping of Fathers and Mothers in their roles and responsibilities, in
the form of the monthly Head of Household and Women of Titus Two
meetings, as well as the Men’s Small Groups and Women’s Prayer Partners.
--Regular promotion of the Resource Library, as well as specific helps concerning
fruitfulness, homeschooling, adoption, etc.
